Royals

The Royals have been terrible in the past few years, but it seems every year in the middle of the year just before the all star break they give us a reason to hope. That reason is interleague play. In 2006 the Royals were 10-4. In 2007 11-8. In 2008 the Royals are a league best 10-2 with 3 to play. I find myself watching the game vs. Colorado tonight from the first pitch to the last which is something I can't ever remember doing. I mean sure the Royals are an exciting team to watch, but in the 7th, 8th, or 9th I would just stop watching because of the way night in, and night out we found a way to blow a lead. But maybe this year is different we have one of the best closers is the majors who we signed to a long term contract, an improved pitching staff ecspecially the starting rotation, and a guy with the 5th most RBI's in the bigs who could also be our team leader. So maybe this year is diferent we very likely won't make the playoffs, but maybe we won't finish in last place, and we will lay the foundation for the future. Remember there's always next year.
